A short summary of what Living Word Lutheran Church
believes
What does a Bible-believing Lutheran believe? We could summarize it very briefly by saying
the following:
- We
believe that the Bible is the true word of God, that it contains no errors
or contradictions, telling us about the Triune God and the work He did to
save us.
- We
believe that the Bible’s main message is the good news that Jesus
came to save the world.
- We
believe that every human being is sinful, and deserves to go to hell.
- We
believe that Jesus earned forgiveness and salvation for all people by His
perfect life, His innocent death, and His glorious rising from the
dead.
- We
believe that all who believe in Jesus will spend eternity in heaven, while
all those who reject the true God and Jesus’ saving work will spend eternity
in hell.
- We
believe that God works faith in the hearts of people through the Word of
God, and through the Sacraments.
